Sol Invictus - December 25th
Sol Invictus is an ancient Roman holiday celebrating the birth of the Unconquered Sun. Modern Christmas festivities were created from Rome's Sol Invictus venerations through Constantine. Sol Invictus revolves around the Winter Solstice on December 21st when the Sun meets death to be reborn again on December 25th. Originally, Sol Invictus was a Syrian Holiday which was established into the Roman Empire's festival calendar by Aurelian, a Roman Emperor that ruled in 274 CE.
