Lupercalia – February 15th
Satanic Celebratory Holiday

Yearly Athletic Games of Ancient Rome in Praise of Hygiene & Fitness

Classical Roman religion encouraged participatory rituals for the purpose of keeping citizens in prime physical shape, cleanliness, and health. Roman baths and plumbing are renown with similar cultural norms being practiced in contemporary homes and coliseums. There are fortunes to be made and treasures to be collected by selling people the most up-to-date plumbing fixtures, showers, or exercise equipment. The salesman's pitch promises to afford their customers a chance to create bodies that mimic the strength and splendor of the very Gods of Rome themselves.

In days of yore, during the holiday of Lupercalia, Roman athletes competed in various sports for glory, fame, and prizes. Winners of games won fine pottery in the form of amphoras, or gourmet foodstuffs like splendiferous preparations of olive oil. They also were rewarded with great amounts of publicity and public appreciation with their names acquiring esteem. Physical prowess displayed by sports figures was valued in historical Rome and it is once again regaining its former popularity as both a vocation and an avocation for present-day people.
